As far back as I can remember running has been a form of expression for me and a way to be present, to get physically strong, to challenge myself and to grow spiritually through mindfulness practices.
I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and immigrated to the States at the age of 7. My roots go back to Ethiopia and Turkey where my parents and ancestors are from. My love for athletics comes from a childhood of days full of adventure and playing soccer barefoot with my friends in Nairobi.
As a coach my aim is to help facilitate your running journey; your life’s journey. Running has added so much depth and purpose to my life and I’m here to use my experience and insights I have gained to help you achieve your running goals. Using science based practices and my own experience, I can help you finish races, reach a PR, prepare for your next big hike or train you for your next trail adventure.
As a student of this sport I am constantly learning and improving my methods. I take what I learn, implement it on the trails and roads, gain insight and repeat. I believe in the process of incremental gains that produces results. And I’m equally inspired by the connections we weave between trail running and the metaphysical realms.
I will train you and share insights with you on running, trail, gear, nutrition, race prep, mindset and much more. I'll be here to passionately support you in your journey to reach your goals and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
